University Behavioral Health provides treatment programs for mental health and chemical dependency designed to meet the unique needs of our military members, veterans, retirees, and their families.
At UBH of Denton, our treatment team is dedicated to providing the highest quality behavioral health care to our nations' best and brightest. We understand that military life today or during prior military
conflicts can be stressful to our service members and their families resulting in disorders requiring specialized treatment and recovery programs.
Military members and families must deal with life events such as family separation, combat stress, exposure to destruction and human suffering, threats to self and comrades and grief and loss. Service members and families are also not immune to disorders that affect all of us such as depression or bipolar disorders. Regardless of diagnosis or experience, licensed professionals at UBH are available 24/7 to assist with a confidential assessment and recommendations for treatment.
Most major insurance including TRICARE and Medicare accepted. Medicaid up to age 21.

Psychiatric 28 Day Inpatient Program
The adult psychiatric program provides medication stabilization and group therapy for patients diagnosed with psychiatric disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, post traumatic stress, and schizophrenia.
Chemical Dependency 28 Day Inpatient Program
Inpatient detoxification and group therapy are provided for patients whose lives have been impacted by the abuse of alcohol or other drugs including prescription medications.
The Freedom Care ASD/PTSD Specialty Program
The Freedom Care ASD/PTSD Specialty Program is based on the unique needs of combat veterans including:
- Diagnosis of trauma syndromes and comorbitities
- Traumatic brain injury assessment
- Development of a collaborative interdisciplinary treatment plan
- Evidence-based management of trauma related symptoms and functioning including pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy with emphasis on cognitive and exposure therapies, and adjunctive methods/services*
- Patient and family education
- Optimization of social supports
- Access to spiritual support and guidance
- Integration/education/coordination with primary care providers
- Reassessment and follow-up
