University Behavioral Health prides itself on being a leader and specializing in the field of gerontology and the mental health needs of the elderly. As people age they may become more susceptible to depression, disorientation, sleep disorders, paranoia, manic behavior and other mental and physical disorders. Medical conditions and certain prescription medications can aggravate anxiety, insomnia, loss of appetite and other symptoms of mental illness. Physical changes and psychosocial losses related to the aging process can also cause emotional distress.

Our patients generally have an acute primary psychiatric diagnosis, chemical dependencies, or exhibit severe symptoms, which may include one or more of the following:

Call the UBH Care Center

The UBH Care Center accepts referrals, inquiries, and information calls 24 hours seven days per week. Qualified Mental Health Professionals answer the Care Center Line and will provide free initial assessments to determine the most appropriate level of care that may help individuals with mental health and/ or chemical dependency problems. When indicated, licensed psychiatrists will determine when hospitalization is required.
