When your child is troubled, the entire family is troubled. |
|
The NorthPointe Center is a specially designed treatment center to help children and their families sort through difficult circumstances or issues, and to assist them in regaining a sense of confidence and hope. Most children grow up in a nurturing environment; however, children from time to time encounter feelings, thoughts or behaviors that result in difficulties in their lives and in the lives of those around them. Families often feel overwhelmed when their child or adolescent presents challenges which may include oppositional on defiant behavior, drug use, school problems or sudden changes in "normal" behavioral routines. At NorthPointe Center, the multi disciplinary team consists of a psychiatrist, a nurse, licensed professional counselors, activity specialist, teacher, and mental health technicians. The multi disciplinary team works together to plan the best treatment strategy for your child. The program uses peer group settings to help the clients develop or improve self-esteem, communication skills, and healthy ways to channel energy.
